Meet the leopard-plant

The leopard plant, known in Japan as tsuwabuki, sends up cheerful yellow flowers above thick, glossy leaves just as autumn deepens. It grows happily in shady corners and is a common sight in temple gardens and old family homes. The bold leaves and simple daisy-like blooms make it easy and pleasant to colour.

About Free Leopard Plant coloring book (03) Coloring Page for Seniors

The leopard plant has long been planted in Japanese gardens for its evergreen leaves and late-season flowers, bringing colour when little else is in bloom. Its broad, rounded leaves are satisfying to shade in deepening greens.

Our coloring pages are widely used in nursing homes, day service centers, and care facilities as a relaxing recreational activity. They are also perfect for home use as a hobby or for gentle finger dexterity exercises. Each page comes with a completed color sample to help guide color choices.

Why Coloring Is Great for Seniors

Coloring is recognized in many healthcare and care settings as an effective activity for cognitive maintenance and dementia prevention. Moving your fingers, thinking about colors, and experiencing the satisfaction of a finished artwork simultaneously engages multiple areas of the brain. Okiraku's designs are crafted with adult dignity in mind — complex enough to be engaging, clear enough to be accessible.
