Turkey Coloring Page (1 of 4)

A rounded, friendly turkey stands on a grassy hill on this first sheet. The large body and the fan-shaped tail are easy to fill in, and the red wattle makes a nice spot of color.

About the Turkey

The turkey is a large bird native to North America, and wild turkeys are remarkably agile, able to run fast and even fly for short distances. The male is known for fanning out his tail feathers in a wide display, and the skin of his head and neck can change color from red to blue.

Brown is the main color for a turkey, but it is pleasant to vary it: use a warm reddish brown for the body, a darker brown for the wing tips, and a golden yellow along the edge of the tail. Keeping the head in red and soft blue makes it a striking focal point against the browns.
