Gingerbread House Coloring Page (2 of 4)

The second sheet leads along a little path with a bridge, a street lamp, and a gingerbread man waiting beside the house. Bright candy colors on the roof and a warm brown on the walls will make the scene look good enough to eat.

About the Gingerbread House

Gingerbread is a spiced cake or cookie made with ginger, cinnamon, and other warm spices, and it has been baked in Europe for many centuries. In the colder months, many families bake gingerbread cookies and even build small houses from the dough, gluing walls and roofs together with icing and decorating them with candy and sugar.

The fun in coloring a gingerbread house is that you can decide what the candy looks like. Try brown for the walls, white or pastel pink for the icing, and a bright mix of colors for the round candies. The colored examples show one idea, but any color combination is welcome.
