About the Tiger

The tiger is the largest of the big cats, its deep orange coat marked with bold black stripes that fall in a different pattern on every animal. With a broad face, white cheeks and a long, heavy tail, it moves with an unhurried and powerful grace.

Tigers live in forests, grasslands and marshes, and are strong swimmers that often cool off in the water. That striking pattern and calm, confident bearing make the tiger a bold and rewarding subject to color.

Benefits as a Coloring & Brain Training Activity

For coloring, laying down the orange coat first and then adding the black stripes one by one is absorbing and satisfying, and leaving the cheeks and chest white makes the pattern stand out. The grass, leaves and water around the tiger invite fresh greens and blues, and building them up slowly gently engages the mind.
