About the Leopard

Leopards are big cats found across parts of Africa and Asia, and among the cats they are unusually at home in the trees, often hauling their catch up into the branches to eat in peace. They live and hunt alone, moving with a quiet, supple grace, and the rosette markings of the coat break up their outline so well that they can melt into dappled shade almost completely.

For us the leopard's spotted coat has become a byword for natural elegance, a pattern that turns up again and again in fabric and design the world over. It carries an easy, universal appeal rather than any heavy history, which is part of why it makes such a handsome and approachable subject to color.
